Manawee Garden Centre

Gloucester Rd | Buderim | QLD

Whenever I’m on the Sunshine Coast I always make time to call into Manawee Garden Centre at Buderim.  A trip to the Sunshine Coast is just not complete for me otherwise. I was told about the nursery 12 months ago and my indoor plant collection has never been the same since.

The entire nursery is well laid out,  and the very next thing you come across is the next thing you are looking for. Every plant is so healthy and happy.  Of the whole nursery (all 2 acres) my favourite part is the indoor plant area. As soon as I walk through the door and into this lush cavern, the temperature drops, and it feels like I could be walking into another ecosystem.

Moss lines the walls providing a backdrop for the many hanging pots containing lush greenery, mostly ferns (and mostly my favourite, the maidenhair).  Layer upon layer of varying textures, and shades of green is what I love about  this indoor setup.  All coming together under the filtered light from the natural skylights above, creating a dreamy like atmosphere.

The staff I’ve come in contact with at this family owned business, have all been fountains of knowledge. Something well informed to say on all things garden.

If you’re on the Sunshine Coast I’d highly recommend a stop-off at Manawee. As tempting as it is to pack a lunch and set up camp in the indoor plant area, take the time to stroll around the rest of the grounds. You won’t be disappointed.

Manawee Garden Centre is open 7 days.
