Rosalie Village Garden Centre
Baroona Rd | Rosalie | QLD
The lure of this little garden centre when you’re in Rosalie Village is strong at the best of times but during spring it is just impossible to walk past. With its blooms spilling from the front gates and almost onto the street and vivid shades of pinks and purples lining the way up the paved path, the invitation was once again irresistable.
Don’t be fooled by the small entranceway because the nursery opens out into a maze of greenery and blooms with an enormous range of plants relative to the size of the nursery space. My first time there I remember thinking it reminded me of a secret garden tucked up and away off the street, wedged between a building housing Rosalie’s gourmet deli, and another building home to small businesses lining the street.
The family owned nursery is an institution in the busy little precinct known for its food, and if you’re after some sage gardening advice, the owner Ben has 17 years worth up his sleeve to draw on. He’ll surely be able to help you out.
As well as the large range of plants, there are also garden accessories in stock here. I’ve found in the past has been great if I’m looking for a living gift idea for someone…. or um even myself. Let’s be honest, we all deserve a treat every now and again.
If you’re looking for something to do one weekend, drop into Rosalie for a bite to eat, a foliage-fix in the sunshine at this quaint nursery, and maybe even head on down the road to Paddington and finish off with some shopping.
Rosalie Village Garden Centre is open 7 days.
